We are committed to creating developmental spaces to unlock and bring alive the world of work for organisations, teams and individuals.
Unlocking Conversations is a partnership built on the shared values Frances and Andy bring to their work and everyday lives. Everything starts from a passion for people and their development, they thrive on working in collaboration – in their work together, with their coaching clients, with groups and teams and leaders in organisations.
Andy and Frances consider themselves real people bringing fun and energy to the work they do. Through their leadership roles in large organisations, they present a business-savvy approach, drawing on their experience and battle scars from the operational and HR world.
They are both PCC credentialed and accredited Integral Development Coaches with the ICF and Fellows of the CIPD.
Andy Rogers
Andy’s 30 year career as a leader has bridged operational ‘P&L’ roles with organizational development and human resources. He has worked across sectors including technology, healthcare, government, defence and care.
His keen eye for people management and the ability to clearly ‘see’ the larger picture is born from an innate understanding of people – how to nurture those around him whilst achieving optimum effort and productivity.
Andy lives his life as an inquiry into people development, focusing on how organisations can balance a person-centered approach within the bounds of expected delivery. He delights in witnessing the development of people as they grow to fulfil their true potential with his support and guidance.
Andy is a qualified Integral Development and Somatic Coach and has a Masters Degree in People and Organisation Development. Andy now balances his time between working with organisations and acting as faculty with Thirdspace Coaching Ltd.
Andy and his wife Cathy share a love of travelling and go motor homing across Europe. Andy grew up supporting his local football team, Manchester United and although he is an avid fan, he tends to spend his time running, cycling, sking and playing golf.
Andy is currently (and steadily) walking the South West Coast path a few weeks a year as a practice of presence in the everyday.

“Andy has been an incredibly effective coach for me – he has helped me to develop a greater sense of my own value and to appreciate what I bring to others, and as a result, has enabled me to find ways to be more grounded and intentional about how I respond to challenging situations.”
Frances Armes
Frances has been in the people development business for over 30 years and has successfully demonstrated the long-term impact of using coaching techniques to empower individuals and teams. Frances established her coaching practice in 2014 and has been working with leaders to grow and develop since.
Frances often talks about development as opening Pandora’s box: once opened it can never be closed. Frances opened her own box when embarking on her Integral Coaching qualification in 2013 and is continuing her development and enhancing her ICF credentials with the Strozzi Institute Somatic Coaching Qualification (qualifying in 2025).
Frances is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and a Certified Integral Development Coach, accredited by the International Coach Federation.
In her corporate career, Frances held senior roles in top-tier organisations, including:
- HR Director, Retail Decisions.
- Global Head of Human Capital, Oliver Wyman Financial Services.
- HR Development Manager, Mondex (a subsidiary of MasterCard).
- Professional Development Manager and Executive Education Programme Manager, London Business School.
Frances lives with her husband, Murray and their two flat-coated retriever dogs. When not working, Frances is most often out and about walking the dogs or experimenting in the kitchen. Occasionally she is also to be found swinging a club on the golf course.

“Somehow, as if by magic, Frances makes what had once seemed completely impossible, totally achievable. She is enthusiastic, inspiring and motivating. I cannot recommend her highly enough.“
